Powercats is hoping to take centre stage at the Southampton Boat Show when it unveils plans for a completely new model.
Redruth based Powercats Limited, which has become the UK’s leading powered catamaran manufacturer, will unveil its plans to launch a completely new model at the internationally renowned Southampton Boat Show, which starts on September 14.
The stunning 6.75 metre, two berth Powercat, will be available in Spring 2008, and be offered alongside the company’s award winning 525 range, named Innovative Boat of the Year 2006 at the British Marine Awards.
Powercat Sales and Marketing Director Jay Pengelly says the launch of the new model is one of the most significant developments in the company’s 10 year history and will take it onto a new level of production.
“We are really looking forward to unveiling our plans for a new generation of Powercats at Southampton. If the level of interest we have already received before unveiling the plans is anything to go by it will be an extremely busy show for us.
“Our 525 boats, are now firmly regarded as the leading powered catamarans in the UK and are indeed the only powered catamarans designed and manufactured specifically to operate in UK and European waters.
“The creation of the new two berth model is a major expansion for us but one which we think is being made at the right time. Such is the growing popularity of the 525 series – with record sales and a growing order book – that the new 675 model will be a perfect extension to the range.
In addition to the new model, Powercat will also be marking its 10th anniversary year by unveiling a special edition craft, built specifically for the show.
Boasting a 10th anniversary paint finish and some exclusive styling, the special edition Powercat will feature strongly on the manufacturers stand.
